There were also rising concerns in the amount of carbon dioxide that was being emitted into the atmosphere. Although the planned obsolescence is positive on the other hand, because the production of new products to satisfy the consumers, means that we create employment, business makes profits, it pays taxes and strengthens our economy. I believe industrial designers should watch this video to understand the pro's and con's of planned obsolescence, so that they are more considerate when designing, Mount Franklin easy crush water bottles, is planned obsolescence but the product is made of a material that is easily recycled meaning more positives associated with obsolescence. At last, the video was an interesting watch, and provided inside to the history of motor vehicles. It shows us that designs today have evolved over the years, and as designers, we should be aware of the changes involved.
